As an aside, I learned recently that, contrary to my own firm belief, I can get a sunburn. Apparently, it isn't olive skin that's been saving me all these years, it's my mother either supervising or actually performing the putting on of sunblock. It isn't that I haven't been putting any on myself, lately, it's just that apparently I suck at it. And now my face is sunburned. It hurts like a bitch, something I never really understood before. So to all those who burn easily, I now understand a little bit of your pain. At least when it turns to tan it'll look really good. Yay silver lining.

My mom and D went to huge, enourmous amounts of trouble (and time and money) to get me my car (! I love saying it). They drove it out from New Jersey, my mother put me on her insurance, D went to huge amounts of trouble to get it cleaned, and passing inspection, and it rocks SO MUCH.

I am insanely excited.

ETA: I also didn't mention that it was a surprise (2 days early) birthday car. I woke up, opened a bag and a card and a box, found the keys in the box, and looked out the window to see my car, filled with pink balloons with a bow on top. That was the coolest thing in life.
